The first time I saw this picture of the Nekempte growing region, I was taken aback. Yes, it is a little bit "Lord of the Rings" (not to knock those who LOVE LOTR), but it is just so beautiful. Is this how we imagine Ethiopia in our popular imagination? My guess is that it is not.
We are delighted to present this exceptional coffee from the trend- setting Ninety Plus (the producers of our Guatemala Zumay and Ethiopia Nekisse). This round we have a delightful washed coffee from this lush region of Ethiopia. High grown (above 2000 meters or 7000 feet!) and carefully managed at each stage of processing, this washed Ethiopia brings together delightful floral and fruit notes. A lively and distinctive jasmine aroma ushers in sweet apricot and lemongrass in the cup.
