The Holidays are upon us and our team here at Victrola wanted to make something super special for you to share with your coffee loving friends and family! This box is filled with wonderful, cutting edge coffees from our dear friends Alberto & Diego Guardia at Hacienda Sonora in Costa Rica. We have worked with this amazing father and son team for many years and they have been a guiding light to show coffee fans across the world a farm that does everything so well. The wealth of knowledge that Alberto has in coffee farming, milling, and production is unmatched and Diego has worked close with his father for so long that the team works completely in tandem; no wasted motion.
Hacienda Sonora built their business on growing and processing different varieties of coffee plants; for many years we have purchased Yellow Caturra and Centroamericano varieties from them; however they also grow: Bourbon, Red Catuai, Pacamara, Venecia, Obata, Geisha, among other hybrids and test varieties. With their extensive variety selection we get to taste a large array of flavors that the team can produce! It is a very fun experiment that brings Hacienda Sonora to the top of many coffee buyers favorite farms in the world. For this gift box we bring you: three different varieties all processed as Natural Process:
Bourbon Natural: the oldest coffee trees on the farm and the most elegant in flavor
Obata Natural: the newest coffee trees on the farm and the most powerful in flavor
H1 Hybrid Natural: an experimental lot that is wild and complex in flavor. This hybrid is a similar plant to Centroamericano variety, but was grown from seed stalk not from a nursery so it has similar growth and resistance as Centroamericano but shows different flavor.
