This is a special coffee for us here at Victrola, as it is a direct partnership with the producers in Colombia. The wonderful and passionate folks at A Coffee Colombia brought this coffee to us shipped directly from the mill.

Grown in the mountains of Huila between 1,700–1,750 masl, and produced primarily by El Mirador, along with neighboring farms El Renacer and El Recreo, and processed at La Unión mill, this coffee reflects the unique conditions of a region known for its dramatic day-to-night temperature swings. These shifts slow cherry maturation, contributing to greater sweetness and complexity.

The farms are managed using agroforestry practices that maintain continuous soil cover and promote long-term soil health. While not organically certified, the producers prioritize cultivation methods that minimize the use of agrochemicals and support a thriving ecosystem at the farm.

Processing begins with 24 hours of fermentation in cherry, followed by depulping and a 30-hour fermentation in tanks. The coffee is then carefully sun-dried for three weeks.

In the cup, expect notes of tamarind, maple sugar, and blackberry, supported by a juicy acidity and lingering sweetness that continue to evolve as the coffee cools. This is a coffee that balances brightness and depth. Expressive, clean, and deeply sweet.
