Victrola Coffee has a long relationship with Luis Alberto, but many roasting companies across the globe can say the same thing. Luis Alberto has been a stalwart member of the specialty coffee community and a passionate leader for coffee in Nicaragua for the majority of his life. Luis Alberto has grown his operation to many farms and each farm produces a different quality of coffee due to the distinct environments he searches for. This coffee comes from his farm Un Regalo de Dios, literally translated as “A Gift from God”. The name makes a lot of since because Un Regalo de Dios sits at the top of a mountain overlooking the valley below. It is a beautiful farm that grows beautiful coffee; but as we know from our journeys “Great Coffee Doesn’t Happen By Accident”; Luis Alberto takes the beautiful coffee grown at URDD and perfects it with his 30+ years of experience processing coffee at Beneficio Las Segovias. We have been working with Luis Alberto for over 20 years and look forward to many more years working with Luis and his family.
