What is there to say about Aurelio that has not been said a million times? He is one of the most well respected, kindest, and well known coffee producers in Guatemala. His family has won Cup of Excellence many times and continues to place in the competition every year. He owns La Esperanza, that surrounds his house and was founded by his father Pedro Sr.; Villaure that he founded in 2000; and three coffee mills across Hoja Blanca where his farms are located. We work directly with Aurelio and his sons Rodin and Jenner (Rodin & Jenner have taken over ownership of Finca Villaure and Quality Control for the entire family).
We love working with Aurelio and his family for many reasons, but most of all is that their coffees are all delicious!
Our Green Coffee Buying team visited Aurelio at their oce in Huehuetenango and stayed at the farm at La Esperanza. Aurelio and his wife were wonderful hosts and welcomed us as if we were family. After a home cooked meal, and a late night conversation on the future of specialty coffee, we all shook hands and decided to work together for many years to come.
