Most old-school fans of Victrola Coffee have become well acquainted over the years with our favorite Honduran coffee farm. Finca Las Brisas in El Cielito, Santa Barbara owned by Denis Teruel. Since 2013 we’ve been purchasing the entirety of Mr. Teruel’s specialty crop, and his coffee has been a roastery and fan favorite year after year.
All of the coffee at Finca Las Brisas is transported to Beneficio San Vicente for dry milling. BSV is becoming famous for being at the forefront of Honduras’s budding specialty scene. Located in the town of Peña Blanca in the Santa Barbara region BSV has processed numerous award-winning coffees from the surrounding villages of El Cielito, El Cedral, and Las Flores.
The Paz family is committed to providing equipment, support and expertise to their farmers, and proudly provides farmers that utilize their mill with the support they need to produce excellent quality coffee. A few years back they provided Mr. Teruel with the materials to build a solar dryer on his farm, enabling his coffee to be dried quickly and evenly while preventing the coffee from being transported to the mill wet. This strong partnership and the commitment to excellence of everyone involved is very much evident in the coffee unique quality.
