While the El Salvador Santa Ana Finca ALaska was released this past Friday, I just had my first Pour-over cup. First thing I think: Why have I waited so long to try this? (Yes, it has been three days!) It is RICH and DEEP and COMPLEX. Invigorating. And knowing this, should it be a surprise that this coffee was grown by one of the most acclaimed coffee tasters in El Salvador on his farm on the Northwest Slope of the fertile Santa Ana volcano. Coffee from this farm, grown under natural shade, placed 8th in the 2007 Cup of Excellence competition. Heed my warning, do not wait to try this amazing coffee.
